We are pleased to announce the launch of Bocking Care – a new care and support service for the Royal Almshouse, Bocking  from 1st April 2025.


United Charities will continue with their long tradition of providing supported housing for adults with learning disabilities - but with Bocking Care they will now also provide the care and support needed using their own dedicated team of caring professionals.


Bocking Care aim to provide high-quality housing and care services that promote independence, dignity, and well-being for the people we support.

Our services

Housing Services

Our properties offer safe, comfortable, and affordable living and are designed or adapted to meet your specific needs.

Care and Support Services

We provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication management, with regular health checks, meal planning, and fitness activities - all backed up by 24/7 on-site support.

Social Activities

In addition to personalised support we do organise and arrange a range of social activities, group outings, and community engagement opportunities.

Housing Services

We currently have 21 properties offering safe, comfortable, and affordable living to 27 residents in a variety of different configurations.


All of our properties are designed or adapted to meet the specific needs of the individual, including accessibility features and emergency call systems.

Care and Support Services

Our highly trained proferssional staff provide assistance with your daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.


Health and Wellbeing is core to the support offered , with regular health checks, meal planning, and fitness activities provided.


In addition there is 24/7 on-site staffing to support in case of emergency or urgent needs.

Social Activities

Bocking Care offers individualised and personalised care to all its residents, but The Royal Almshouse has always been, and will continue to be, a lively community.
